What is this Thriller Series All About?
Something About Number 3 is a thriller series about famous actresses who suddenly disappear every three years. All the women involved are signed to the management agency TS Entertainment, run by its president and CEO, Son Rivas.
The story begins with two actresses, Min and Vill, who are already living a quiet life away from the limelight. Three years later, they discover that Aya, Vill’s younger sister, has risen to stardom under the management of TS Entertainment. Vill’s disappearance was sudden and unexpected, forcing her to leave Aya behind without a trace.
Knowing what they do about Son and TS Entertainment—and after experiencing danger at the hands of Son and his men—Vill is forced to come out of hiding. Min, who reluctantly agrees to the plan, realizes she cannot afford to leave Vill in this dangerous rescue mission.

How this Action Romantic Thriller Story Came About
The thriller series Something About Number 3 is inspired by the 2002 Hong Kong action film So Close and the 2019 South Korean Burning Sun scandal. The story is not exactly the same as the Burning Sun scandal, but the idea drawn from it is the exploitation of women in the entertainment industry and their trafficking to influential and powerful men. The idea taken from So Close was to create female characters who are not only visually appealing but also highly skilled in physical combat.
